Hi! Thanks for stopping by! Take a photo tour of a Ukrainian village of the 1940s Czechy, my place of birth, was the home of my maternal grandparents in western Ukraine, county of Brody, not far (by North American standards, far by horse and wagon) from Lviv.
My grandfather was the parish priest here and when we left, heading west, shortly after these photos were taken elected to stay behind. He ended up working on a collective farm after WWII, his official days as a priest over. I have about four hundred photos in this series but space limitations allow the presentation of only a few. Left: Some forty years later, Christina, my grandparents' great-granddaughter performs at Toronto's 'Ontario Place' with the Desna Dancers. Fifty years later their great-great-granddaughter Emilia will soon be doing the same! (right). One of my hobbies now is Amateur Radio, which includes talking to people all over the world via radio.
